Seat Catch Part Number?
« on: February 16, 2015, 01:40:11 PM »
I must be overlooking this part in the parts diagram.  I am looking for the catch that is mounted on the bottom of the seat on a 2004.  Anyone know it?  Thanks.

It's possible that like the c14, the c10 seat hardware is not separately available.

I haven't looked under my seat but what's wrong with your catch? Or is it not there in the pic?

I am buying a seat to have rebuilt and it doesn't have the catches on the pan.  I want to keep my OEM seat complete and not pull the catches off of it.

ok i understand.

and fartymarty is right. a simple ebay search revealed many different latch contraptions on the cheap. i just haven't studied my latch before so can't tell which looks to come from the seat and which from the frame. but i think all are there on ebay.

Or just one latch on each seat. It's not like it's gonna float off or anything.

There's tons of the moving parts on ebay but I didn't find any catches.

The seat side catches are rare as hen's teeth. I have a spare set I will sell...not sure of a price but I'd rather have them than give em away.

the mechanisms (lock) are almost free on e-bay, the actual catch parts on the seat, only came on the seat. They are not, nor ever been available from the Kaw Fiche. I was working wwith a local vendor to recreate these, but let it lapse when I became unemployed, I may re-visit the need, and resurrect the effort shortly...

Well cool! Godspeed MOB.  What would be best is if you can find some ubiquitous hardware that can be easily reworked to function using only a drill and a file.

I'm not very knowledgeable about C10s, ...
...and apparently I was able to prove it!  ;D
