Tinted stock windshield

Just installed my new Vstream windshield.   I now have the stock windshield sitting in a box.   Has anyone ever tried to tint these?   Feedback?

There was a pic on the "old" site where a member had used to spray on tinting.  He had pics posted and to me it looked awesome.  He only tinted about halfway up then faded it out a little bit more.

I tried tinting my stock shield with poor results. I used the VHT Niteshades tint and the valve started to putter and I couldn't get a uniform coat. I ended up putting multi coats on and blacked out the screen. I bought a CalSci tinted shorty instead. I did like the blacked out stocker but not in the full up position.
