Nice looking bike.

How do those fairing extenders work? Are they OEM on european models.

Credit goes to both me and the girlfriend!  :)

I haven't really looked at the fairing extenders, they indeed are standard on EU models (at least, I haven't seen any without around here) I think they screw into the fairing bolts that hold the fairing interior.

They surely look sleeker than what we have on our bikes here. I would like to buy some used ones if I could find some here. They don't come up too often.  :-\

I could probably get some for you if you want them. I'm not sure if shipping them overseas would be worth it though!

Thanks. You may get them cheap in EU but with shipping it may be too expensive. These are plastic pieces and I hate to pay a lot for them. Especially just because they seem mostly cosmetic!

You can buy them new thru Murph:

They do show up for sale once in a while or put a wanted add in.

This is how she looked the day she got home (April 1 , 2015).  She will look far, far different soon.

EDIT:  1987, 22K miles, $500.  She came with rifle windshield WAY too tall, simple aftermarket cam chain tensioner, brand new Pirelli tires, and just enough plastic damage to justify taking off the lowers and leaving them off.

Planned mods thanks to this forum:  Overflow tubes / 2 minute jet, home made knee savers and passenger peg lowering, home made fairing brace, home made top case mount, top case, bar risers - and because motorcycles are supposed to be black -  a new paint job (el cheapo garage style).  That should see me through the next 6 months, then I'll decide on how much I want to put into performance upgrades like Shoodaben "7th gear", cam, etc.

That's an open cockpit tandem kayak built by my father for my wife and I.  It's fiberglass over a strip built wood frame.  Don't know if the forum likes pics of non motorcycle stuff in their threads, but I got plenty of pics.  Pop used 7 different types of wood in the construction, and she's really great on still / calm water, salt or fresh.  He builds kayaks, canoes, and SUPs as a hobby now that he's retired.

You can post them in the 'OPEN' board. I would love to see the craftsmanship. When you do you can tell me what a SUP is. Thanks

Digging the mirrors.  Interesting foot peg.  You may want to consider beefing up the rear rack supports or doing the "cutting board mount" or something similar.

Thank you Jettawreck for the info

looks like I have a "Franken-bike"

the title says 2004 (and so does the hardware under the plastics) but the paint says 92/93?

I bought her a few years ago at a "salvage" bike dealer in Southern Maryland  (the front fender is not black like the rest but a VERY dark metalic blue... which can only be seen in bright sun)
I'm just doing the best I can, with the little bit I got!
