I ride year round here in Hoosier land. Have been for 30 years. Michelen still needs a good snow tire though.

I rode in the snow in Colorado in JULY!  Good times riding in  snow indeed   :D

I had on the heated suit I use when I take the bike and go visit GA and the Carolinas in the winter (http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j180/stevewfl/avatars/iconhammer.gif)

You can always go to a interstate cloverleaf and spend the day getting on and off  ::)
I moved here 27 years ago and don't miss all them "POT HOLES "
I mean good roads. ;) I came from western NY , I fly back every Christmas
just to remind my self WHY I moved :D

I put the beer in a cooler on the back rack, the bike still seems to run very well. I only live about 75 miles from SiSF, so he can fix it if it starts running bad. ;) I wonder if his jet kit is tuned for beer...

A little jealous.

My truck told me it was 33 degrees here in Michigan this morning......I'm not ready for this yet but I will still ride so long as the road isn't white. I just stay closer to home when it's winter so I don't get stuck in a snow storm.

I ride all year. I've been ridden below zero. I just don't recommend it. I will not use gas stabilizer, so I must keep the gas flowing.
I'll be down to Florida next winter doing the whole Disney thing with my wife and 4 kids. I don't think I'll be able to sneak the C-14 on the plane though.

Come to California, we have great weather, manageable humidity, manageable mosquitos and some of the best roads in the world. Plus you better hurry, cause its gunna fall into the ocean during the next big earthquake.

Explains why Harley's are so popular there, with the elder population and no turns.

Florida has the best curves in the country.  A few of them can be found at JenningsGP, Daytona, Morrosso, Homestead-Miami and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few   :D

If you haven't road these curves, you're missing out.

I grew up in that area but never heard of T back. Tiger Tail beach was awesome! WAY back in the day when they allowed such things we used to camp out on that beach, fishing all night and rode dune buggies during the day. Good times.

Haha

Must be in SOuthern Indiana. Too much snow up here in Muncie to go all year. Not ready to put her away yet as Turkey Day is looking to be in the 60's. Comfy down to about 36 degrees as long as the sun is up. Deer more of a problem than cold but I will be out as long as the tires will stick to the pavement.

You out of staters  dont have a clue what you are missing.  we get to ride  365 days a year. we do have curves  and fun roads
we are just altitudinally  challenged( I know it isnt a real word)... My GPS tells me I am 62 FT above sea level  while parked in my garage. Had a breakfast ride this am to Winterhaven airport and thermometer  said 55 F when kickstands went up @ 8am.
almost 65 on the way home and NOT a cloud in the sky.  On that note I want to wish everyone a safe and joyous Thanksgiving to you and your families...

I can't comment on the bike, but PBR makes me backfire something awful.  I get banished to the garage until I'm running with less unpleasant emissions.

I usually spend the summers in eastern TN/western NC.   At least ride there a lot of the summer at a bare minimum when FL is a scorchin'.  I'll ping you when I'm back up that way.  Also I meet a group twice a year for railin' the twisties up that way  :D

Cool!  I think my railing days may have come to an end though.  After my dual sport crash, losing a friend to a guardrail, and the numerous deer strikes that have been happening in my area, I am reassessing the level of risk I am willing to incur while riding.  Slowing it down, avoiding dusk to dawn, not purposely riding in the remnants of hurricanes, etc.  My eyes just aren't as discerning as they used to be.  I would be happy to meet up at a non-chain restaurant and share a meal and some stories.

I like the slow scenic touring too, I'll definitely look you up.

Also there is a friend of mine (who is a Kawasaki USA employee too) in the area, he rides street and dual sport too. Great guy,  I'm overdue riding with him and plan to look him up while there next time as well

Yeah I'm in Gainesville ... still riding an RC51 ... still looking for a C14, though. I didn't see the RTE ride, tho ... not sure what that is.

RC51 - suweet!  RTE is ride to eat, we'll be right up the street from you compared to me in Tampa. Bring the Honda!  :

I'm busy helping my dad install some cattle fence today, Steve ... but small world: The local club I ride with once in a while did a ride from Gainesville to Gator Joe's on Nov 9th (125 miles one-way). I didn't make that ride, either, tho  :( ... Enjoy your ride today!
