Interesting story. I think those guys are nuts but find the obsession and the challenge fascinating ever since reading "Into Thin Air" by Jon Krakauer. Every account I've read about climbing Everest seems to boil down to this:

I would suggest you read Robert's post again. He has updated his post and talks about the trip down and his recovery.  It's amazing that he survived! If it wasn't for many individuals that helped him back down and knew what to do after the summit of Mt. Everest.
