Hello from Phoenix
« on: January 26, 2014, 03:08:09 PM »
Hello. My name is Jim and by my forum name(Wingrider) I would rather still have my Goldwing. I have ridden many different bikes starting when I was 14. First was a Harley 45 with foot clutch and tank shift and then went up to a 47 Knucklehead also with a foot clutch and tank shift. I then went thru several different bikes until I got my first Wing. That was an 81 1100 Interstate and I was spoiled. I then had an 86 Interstate, 86 SEI and then my 2002 1800. It was thru a series of misfortunes that I had to make a choice between the 1800 and my current 09 with ABS Concours. The ABS and wifes current health made the Concours the wiser choice at that time.Thru a long list of mods I have the Concours where I would now be comfortable taking it anywhere. This forum has been a great help for information, used parts and humor. I do all of my own work on my bikes. My goal is to put at least 200,000 miles on this bike before moving on to another. I currently am at 37,000. Hopefully I will get to meet some of the forum members when they are traveling in this area.

I will try to list them but may forget a couple.
1. V-Stream windshield
2. Two inch handle bar risers.
3. Four inch handle bar extensions from Phils Farkles.
4. J&M CB radio with intercom.
5. Satellite radio.
6. Used Seth Laam seat.
7. Givi 4.7 top box with an Addmore light kit.
8. HID headlights.
9. Mondomto bullet lights with a Skene controller.
10. Canyon Cages.
11. Delkevic slip-on.
12. Front and rear side reflectors replaced with LED lights that act as running and turn signal lights.
13. Two sets of 16 led Hyper lights mounted by the license plate. One set as running and brake and the other set has half as running and brake with the other half used as turn signal.
14. MC Cruise.
15. Doran Tire pressure monitoring system.
16. Handle bar center mount for the radio.
17. Hand wings.
18. Wired for battery tender and heated clothes.

I think that is it for now. If I think of any others I will let you know.
