Those of you using K&N air filters, what's your preference for recharge oil, the aerosol spray can or the squeeze bottle? I know it comes with a small squeeze tube the should last through a couple of recharges, but what do you use when it runs out?
-
I like the aerosol myself. Easy to apply and I cant spill it :P
-
I prefer the spray since it seems easier to get a uniform coating on the gauze. It is messy though due to the overspray.
-
+1 for Spray - why would anyone want to use anything else that could potentially over oil the filter :-\
-
I have found the spray is easier to get more even coverage.
Ride safe all.

Just installed a new filter in the bike (from Amazon) and the instructions said "Use the entire squeeze bottle" which came with the filter and it turned out just right. On my truck, the recharge kit is a spray bottle and it will do a couple of cleanings. I like both.

that bubble that comes with the filter will do it at least 5 times......I toss them directly into the garbage, I bought a spray can in 2002, and it's still half full......make it pink, not red and drippy....

+1 still on my original can. Thats even with doing my huge 7.3 powerstroke aftermarket filter system [bigger than a large coffee can] many times.

+1, Just spray it.

+1 on the spray...

Wow, 9 for the spray, 0 for the bottle. I guess I will get the spray.
Actually, after digging through my workbench last night, I still have 1/2 a can of PJ1 spray that I used for my OEM and EMGOs. Does anyone see an issue with using it on a K&N?
-
I use spray Bill, and I used some other brand one time too when I didn't have enough K&N spray. I can't see where it would be any different, its just filter oil.........its just oil.
-
The spray is more consistent. I have seen many people over oil a filter when using the squeeze bottle.

Spray.
