Title: Which side, butter or toast?
Post by: stewart on July 09, 2012, 05:58:54 AM
I was pondering my recent drop the other day and how its on the right side (sitting on bike), the side everyone looks at when on the kick stand, so the scratches are in full glory.

Is this like toast? If you butter your toast and it falls on the floor, chances are it will land butter side down. So with the Connie, chances are it will fall on the right side so everyone can see the scratches.

I'm on my phone, but maybe someone can create a poll to see if my theory is correct.

From what I've seen here, most drops are on the left side. Possibly from a side stand malfunction, like mine was.    :'(

...or brainfart like mine was. A week before the MCE rears came in.

My first C14 drop was also on the right side...while parked at the gas station no less!  >:(

I guess it determines which side you put your extra emergency gear in...mine's also on the right side so more weight to "pull" towards that side in a fall I guess.  ::)

I'm going to fill my side bags with helium balloons, then I won't need to buy those Canyon Cages.
