KB fork brace - opinions?
« on: July 03, 2015, 09:21:45 AM »
What's your guys opinions of KB fork braces?  Worth the money or no?  Thinking of installing one on a '05 Connie with 36K miles.

I have an older one and like it. Sorry, I'm not one to tell you the subtle differences of preload adjustments and how I can tell the difference when there is 2 turns as opposed to 3 turns, or, how it stiffens up the front end as I really couldn't tell the difference on Ohio's frost heaved roads.  What I can tell you is the bike tracks well, it doesn't wobble around semi trucks, the tires wear well, I also have a vented windscreen, the bike is an '01 with 81,000 miles. Hope that helps.

I feel that they do help.
If your a cruiser, it may not be as noticeable.
If you like twisties,,,, handling improves.

Certainly; it does not hurt...

Ride safe, Ted

Just be certain to go through the shimming process when you install the brace so it does not cause the forks to bind.

Mine produced a very noticeable improvement in the front end feel, responsiveness, braking, and overall feel.  I would not want to ride a C10 without a fork brace.

Mine was a waste of time and money, and provides significantly less protection of the fork seals to boot. Bike still wiggled around trucks or cross winds, etc. I suggest SiSF's cam gear is a much better value. Or just more gas.
