3 capped unused electical outlets

hI
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE PURPOSE OF THE 3 UNUSED CONECTORS NEXT TO ECU  ARE?
I would like to acess the tail light /brake light circut there but have not tested them yet.

A pic would help us/you.  If they're single wires, I think one is earth and another is ABS test.

Those are the diagnostic connectors(you must have an early model, the 2010 and up bikes have only two connectors there).  The rear tail light and turn signal connectors are in the black vinyl boot that Conrad mentions.  Here is the location from Fred's pics:
