My mortgage is with WF and I'm not going to change because of that but I won't do any more add on business with them.

I am getting tired of businesses taking political stances.  Rarely is it good for business, anyway.

The fedgov's 'Operation Chokepoint' is the cause of this.

Does W/F allow transactions on the sale of gasoline... just asking....?

Or fertalizer?

Or....oh never mind.
You get the picture...

Maybe they should restrict compromising transactions with companies supplying tea, to US soil... let's start from square one ...again...

I'm not so sure I like that last point..  I don't think we grow tea over here.

All depends on how they were directed by the Regime's DOJ.

Or with any of a zillion other stores that sell utility/hunting/defense/camping/other knives.... like Walmart, Sears, KMart, Target, etc, etc.

Good point. Do they deny business with Bed Bath and Beyond because I just checked and they do sell Henchels knifes online.

I'm in the same boat. I didn't take my mortgage out with WF but they bought it after the fact.

I bought my home with WF several years ago. I was fortunate to be able to pay off my mortgage last year, so I am free of that burden.

On a better note, the X5 knife shown at the top of the article got my attention. I was not even aware Hogue had a line of knives, nor their association with Allen Elishewitz. I've been a Spyderco nut for the last 15 years. So I'm buying an X5, and an EX-02 tanto folder, AND a matching G10 grip for my LCR. I've never been a big boycott person, but I like to do business with right thinking folks... AKA folks who think like ME.

So I guess Wells Fargo would have us believe some sort of revisionist history wherein their stagecoaches ran around unarmed and undefended, no knives or pistols or shotguns, etc.  They never had armed guards inside their banks?  Hypocrisy appears to be the name of the game here.

I have Hogue Mono-grips on a couple of my pistols, very nice products.

I am guessing that this came from their legal department rather than a political policy.  The way lawsuits drag in everyone to try to extract more money for "victims" the less likely products/services are going to want to have anything to do with "weapons" that could result in injury or death.  Silly, sad, but true.

I liked the look of that X5 myself. What was the cost?

I also have some of Hogue's grips on my pistols. Nicely designed and very well made.

Almost half of Spydey's current catalog is as expensive. That's what happens when a blade is made in the states and has a known custom maker's name associated with it.

Wells Fargo is one of the most corrupt banks. They had to pay the Feds a $160 million fine after buying out another fraud bank Wachovia in 2010 for Wachovia's Mexican drug money laundering of $378 billion blood money between 2006-2009. Google "Wachovia drug money scandal"-  hardly no one knows about it because the Feds put no one in jail, just slapped their wrists. Just today Wells Fargo was fined $4.1 million for charging illegal student loan fees. If we had a decent Fed, they would have lost their business charter and sent the crooks to jail long ago.

Funny...Wells Fargo has gone from a transportation company where its customers were robbed by bandits to a financial company that is the bandit robbing its customers.

5,300 Wells Fargo employees fired over 2 million phony accounts

"On Thursday, federal regulators said Wells Fargo employees secretly created millions of unauthorized bank and credit card accounts -- without their customers knowing it -- since 2011."

That's a lot of crooks getting their asses fired! I wonder what percentage that is of their total workers?

That's the difference between "they" and "us".  If us defrauds they, us go to the slammer.

If they defrauds us, they get fired at the worst, then go to another financial institution and start over.  The managers get a bonus.

I tried to tell you guys earlier what crooks these guys are. Their corporate culture would make El Chapo proud, and I'm sure they profitted handsomely from the billions of laundered blood money they acquired from their takeover of the Wachovia banditos. Why no one has indicted them is a lesson in how the gov't will shake down crooks and let them proliferate.

Stealing from bad guys is a fedgov industry in itself. They generate huge amounts of capital and who they gonna call when they get strong-armed for charitable donations?

Everyone should check their credit reports because Wells Fargo was opening bank accounts without anyone's approval or knowledge, and doing so for the last 3-4 years. Nothing surprises me anymore with this bank or others for that matter.

Wells Fargo exec who headed unit involved in scandal due $125 million in retirement
Published September 13, 2016  FoxNews.com

The Wells Fargo executive who oversaw a unit that created almost 2 million unauthorized customer accounts is set to retire from the company with a nearly $125 million payday, and reports say the bank isn’t likely to cut the strings on her golden parachute as she walks out the door.

Just follow the money trail from the bank to the Feds to see why these criminals and money grubbers have not been prosecuted for their many scandals.

OK, to bring everyone up to speed:

2010- The Feds shakedown Wells Fargo for $160 million for acquiring the Wachovia banditos whom they caught laundering $378 Billion Mexican drug/guns money. The Feds found this when looking at the Wachovia books required when the banks wanted to merge in 2009. $160 million is pocket money to these criminals. They should have had their asses handed to them for profiting from all the people killed for this scheme in Mexico and the US. I'm sure El Chapo laughed all the way to his bank.
2016- Wells Fargo was fined $4.1 million for charging illegal student loan fees to the kids they screwed for the onerous school loans to begin with.
2016- Wells Fargo was fined $185 million for fraudulent accounts that people had no knowledge of.

Total of shakedown fines paid so far in 6 years that we know of: $349.1 Million and a Win-Win for both the banks and the Feds.
Guess who loses?
