Myself and 2 other C14 owners from the Little Rock area are planning a Memorial Day Weekend ride.
We plan to eat breakfast at the Cracker Barrell in Bryant on Saturday morning.
Then take 5 to 7 and ride north to Ola and then take 10 to Booneville, then follow 23 north to Eureka Springs via the pig trail.
We will spend the night in the Eureka Springs area on Saturday night.
Sunday We plan on heading over to Mtn Home, Push Mtn Rd, Mt View, then evetually make it back to Bryant late Sunday evening.
Anyone else interested in riding along just let us know.
Thanks,
c14-Pilot

I just did almost that exact route last weekend. Of course it rained on me all day friday, but I still had fun. I would think there should be some takers. Great riding in Arkansas.
-
Arkansas Weather is looking great for the weekend..........Is it Saturday yet! 8)
-
Is there a time and location to meet on Sunday morning. I would love to come down and ride for the day. If I could meet you guys in Mountain Home that would work out great.

Not sure about the time but I will get with Henry or JP and see if we can come up with an estimate of when we'll make it to Mountain Home Sunday.

Sounds good. I am hoping that my tires are delivered in time to make the trip on Sunday. I know my rear tire wouldn't make it there and back.
-
OK, I'll let you know about the time asap.
-
How does meeting at 10:00 a.m. in Mountain Home sound to You guys?
We will be coming from Eureka Springs on 62 across to Mtn Home.
We will need to decide on a place to meet.
-
It doesn't count when you already live in Arkansas. ;D
-
Jeremy,
What route will You be taking to Mtn Home on Sunday morning?
thanks,
Henry
-
If I can get a rear tire in time I will be coming in on 201 since I will be coming from straight north.
-
Jeremy,
If I remember right, 201 runs through Mtn View down and over to 341 "Push Mtn Rd".
We could meet You some where along 201 or at the North end of "Push Mtn Rd".
My number is 501-626-0796.
Is 10 a.m ok for a meeting time, I didn't know how far You live from Mtn View.
thanks,
Henry

I can be down in Mountain Home in about 2 hours from where I live and even less if there is no traffic. That early on a Sunday I will probably make pretty good time. I don't want to cramp you guys, time wise, so whatever time you will be in the area I can make it.
-
I won't be able to make it, I just talked to my wife and she already saw the UPS truck go by and they didn't stop at my house. No new tires, no ride. And none of my local dealers have a PR2 or PR3 for the C14 in stock.
I don't think UPS will be delivering tomorrow due to the holiday, but if my tires do show up I will let you guys know.
-
I am sorry to hear that Jeremy.
We'll be doing this ride again in the Fall if not before, We'll get in touch
with You when We do.

Maybe they will run tomorrow, too nice of a weekend to be down. I hope you can get the tire and make it, just let us know if you can.

I will give you a call if it comes in tomorrow right after I go slap it on. If it doesn't come in then I will ride around here close to my house so I can avoid straight sections of road. Either way, you guys ride safe.

Well We just made it back home at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday 05/29/11, We did 650 miles of mostly Twisties all over the northerm half of the state of Arkansas.
We left Saturday morning at about 9:00 am taking the following route.
Leaving form Bryant we took I-30 west to Benton where We took 5 over to 7.

Then We took 23 "Pig Trail" North up to Eurake Springs, then went over to Berryville and took 21 North which eventually turned into MO 86, this led
us into Branson. We stayed across the street from the Lonestar Steak House where We ate really good steaks.
This morming We left Branson and back tracked down 86, 21 then to 43 over to Ponca to see the Elk herds.
We didnt't see any Ellk though We were told that they are not very active in the middle of the day especially a hot day, and it was HOT!
Leaving Ponca We took 43 east to Harrison, then took 62 over to Mtn Home, then 201 to 341 "Push Mtn Rd".
Took 341 south to 14, then 14 to Mtn View where We had a late lunch about 3 p.m.
We then took 9 to Shirley, 16 to 65, then south of Clinton We took 9 to Morrillton, Perry, Perryville, Williams Junction, Paron , 298 to 5 then 5 to Benton.

You don't have any chicken strips after a weekend of running those great roads do you? I found out how soft the sides of a PR2 were after only 1 day of riding down there................. soft enough to wear almost half the tread off the shoulders.
Are you gonna be able to make it up here in September?
-
my chicken strips were reduced to about nothing this weekend. thanks JD! little nerve racking at times but super fun.
