What did you do to your Concours today?
« on: September 08, 2014, 06:40:51 PM »
Ill start off with my list ...

* Wash and wax
* Gas cap mod
* Handlebar risers
* Throttlemeister
* Tankslapper paint protection
* Partial de-badging. Removed those huge Kawasaki letters.

I have new grips that I was wanting to install, but was severely depressed to find out that it is the actual grip itself that is heated and not an element inserted inside the bar end. I really hate the stock grips!! They are very uncomfortable without gloves on.

Tomorrow it will be a fender extender and Canyon cages, and Phil's rack

I did my Concours a favor today and left it in the garage.  One of the largest rain storms ever in Phoenix today.

Looked at it while I cut the grass, took apart a part of the deck, took out the trash and recycling, as I left to go to the grocery store  and did the laundry..... tomorrow she’ll be washed before we go for a ride  ;)

Hooked her up to the battery tender, but alas her heart has given out.  I guess the original battery from '08 had to go sometime, but just before a ride???  On a happy note, new gps on the way, and within a week or so of sending my seat to Baldwin :)

Rode it to work and back.  When I got home the reflective saddlebag decals that I had ordered were waiting for me in the mail.  Cleaned up the bags and stuck on the reflectors.

I'll go totally off topic here: that's one of the best pictures I've seen in my life. Where did you get it from? Link, please?

A battery going just before a ride is perfection.  On the ride itself, not so much.

My Stebel horn arrived yesterday, so I installed it. This was by no means an easy project. The "extra" or available space on these bikes is quite minimal. Also installed a radiator guard.
Today is going to be a ride. Im thinking about riding around Lake Okeechobee.

Question... Is there any one in South Florida that has a computer and software that can program a key fob?  I went to my local stealership yesterday and ordered a spare one. They charged me full retail for this fob and then they wanted to charge me $8/qt for Kawasaki oil. OUCH! Then the service dept told me that it was a bunch of data input to program the fob and that it would be an hours labor charge. I believe that this was lies! As I walked out of the place shaking my head, from the horrible experience that I just endured at the parts counter and service desk, I told myself that I would NOT give this establishment anymore of my business. I'm thinking that the blonde hair and boobs is a signal to salespeople that I am an idiot?
