I use Plexus or Pledge.  Been doing that for years.

Glad i did too before i got caught with no shelter in this Monsoon out west.

I have used Plexus, Pledge, and Honda Wax,  and all 3 worked well for me and at the cost of Plexus these days I probably won't be using it after my stock is depleted.  The cost of Plexus at close to $20.00 a can is ridiculous.

I have used the ICE on mine. It worked great. I need to do it again. I may polish it again to get rid of scratches before I do it again.

Why should RainX not be used on a motorcycle windshield?

Why should RainX not be used on a motorcycle windshield?
I think the reason is that the chemicals in RainX can react with plastic windshields and cause hazing of the plastic.

Will not be using Lemon Pledge...had heard about it attracting bees...tried some on my faceshield...it did seem to bead water, but within minutes, little yellow bees started to show up...don't need to be attracting bees

I've never been a Rain-X fan as its so greasy and hard to apply without smearing. The other products work well and are easier to use.

Thanks Gsun for asking about ICE..thought I was the only one out of the know.
+1

I use multi-purpose Pledge wipes on my bike and windshield, but it does not bead water like RainX does on a glass windshield.

A bee or wasp got into my full face helmet a couple weeks ago. I was cruising a back road, my windshield down three-quarters and my face shield opened slightly so I could get some air. The bee/wasp was sucked right through the opening in my face shield and stung the hell out of me. Luckily, I wear a modular helmet and was able to open it to get him out of there. All the more reason to not use lemon pledge.

I hardly think that Pledge had anything to do with you getting stung. Bee is flying along and then suddenly sucked into the helmet, he probably figured it was time to attack.

Agree,  lemon pledge had nothing to do with the bee getting into my helmet; in fact, there was no lemon pledge on my face shield at the time. The purpose of pledge comment is twofold: 1) to let readers of this post know that the lemon pledge attracts bees, and 2) to say that for that reason I do not plan to use the product on my face shield or windshield. bees. By the way, I have used multi-purpose pledge for the last year and do not recall it attracting bees.

I would probably use Pledge as I did before but I bought a can of Honda Pro glass cleaner and have been using it for over two years. I think closer to three years. Still got some left.
