Title: Fuel pump R&R and Fuel pump related issues
Post by: VirginiaJim on June 29, 2014, 06:49:01 AM
The fuel filter is integral with the pump and is not a maintenance item so if the filter gets knackered then it's off to the dealer or replace it yourself.  Our friend Asif, from GTR1400 site in the UK came up with this lovely procedure to change or clean the filter.  Please note that if you go to that site, I believe that you have to join to see the posts.

Fuel filter R&R looks harder than it actually is.  It is a cheap part, and well worth changing every few years or 50,000 miles.  I did mine in a couple of hours with no complications.  Of course, I was also drilling the tank for an auxiliary tank bung...
