you might want to keep www.kawasaki.com bookmarked for parts number search.

www.kawasaki.com have detailed parts diagram/listing, with up-to-date year models.
i check there to see the latest parts number. sometimes i use it to get an idea what are the latest "bug fixes" for any particular area of the bike that i might be working on in future. new/replacement parts are indicated with a red mark on the parts listing.

navigation-wise, on the left side of the website, go to "owner info" --> "parts diagram".

Thanks for your help.  I thought that was the correct part and I just wanted confirmation that I read the diagram correctly.

I scratched up the original when I was replacing my battery.  The cover was on extremely tight and the Allen wrench slipped when I was removing it.  PITA.... >:(

Yes, I am glad it was minor damage.  I need to buy some T handle Allen wrenches from Sears.

When I installed the battery I also hooked up the wiring for heated gear.  I have the Powerlet Rapid Fire setup.

You probably should get the 3/8ths socket variety.  They work better.

Meh- no problem with either of those either, just send them out to Jay and he can run them through with his next batch of C-14 parts being painted.
