Title: rear valve stem size?
Post by: Centex on December 22, 2011, 10:26:22 AM
Does anyone happen to know for sure if the valve stem that fits a rear Meanstreak wheel also fits the 2004 C10 wheel?

I've got one of the former on hand and need one for the latter.

TIA !

The Meanstreak wheel uses a smaller diameter stem than the C10.

Very true, I just had my tires changed today and I too have a Mean Streak rear. I handed the tire change guy, two new 45 degree valve stems, and latter he returned with one and informed me that it (valve stem) was too big.....

Cheers

The pre 94 Concours used the smaller valve stem.  The later models use the standard automotive size.  If the MS wheel uses the same smaller valve stem then you can use the 90 degree metal stem from the early Concours.  I just happen to have this part new in the packaging as it wont fit my 05.  PM me if you want it for a substantial savings over retail  ;).
