Fork oil height
« on: October 10, 2011, 07:25:46 PM »
Did a search...but did not find the 2 figures I need for my fall fork maint.
Probably has been asked a million times.....sorry ::)

1997 C10..
1....what is correct amount of fork oil per leg?
or
2...for better results what is correct oil height per leg. And, do you measure with forks extended or collapsed?

Thanks...
Barry

150 to 170 mm is sticking in my brain.  I'll look it up now and edit.

Edit:

From the Clymer's Manual:

Oil capacity per leg, 1994 on:
When Empty: 379 ML
Fork Oil Change: 330 ML

Oil Level each leg, measured from the top of the fully compressed fork tube without spring:
171 mm

Hope that helps!
