Wasn't a pleasant ride riding 60 km home from work this evening. Pitch black and close to zero degree celsius (32 F). Even got below freezing reading the last 10 km. Thunder-nugget is officially garaged until April. brrrr
-
Come on... I've ridden below that before. :) I think 17* is my coldest ride. 8)
-
Mine is parked too. I was down to 18F on my last trip. I give up. Until next April.
-
What a bunch of babies! ;)
Bundle up and ride on man! :)
It was 25f here a couple of weeks ago and I had a great ride!
-
All that cold dense air makes a motor run real sweet and crisp
-
We've been out at 11F. I wish I could tell you it was enjoyable, and part of it was (the riding part) but the trip home was lousy. The cab of the tow truck just was not comfortable at all and the suspension was downright awful :-(
And no, we did not crash or anything so dramatic but we did overload the main fuse on the bike- which was entirely my fault when I wired the heated gear and headlights quite some time before. What an ugly wait for the tow that was- without heated gear :-(

I hope that means something different in Stockholm (åska nugget?) than it does here (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Thunder%20Nugget). :o

HA HA!! Correct... something got lost in translation... I googled thunder nugget and got myself a laugh! ;D I named my bike " Dunderklumpen" (A more correct translation is "Thunder lump") after a Swedish childer book caracter that became an animated film in the mid 70th. A honestly kind full-figured man who brings dolls to life and takes them on a journey. (In this case, I'm the doll that my Thunder lump will take on long adventures far away ;) )

From Urban dictionary
"Thunder nugget: When you force a silver dollar size turd out of your b-hole that takes your breath away, and hits the water with a deep impact sound" ;)
Every day you learn something new is a good day. Today I learned what NOT to call my C14.....

The range and scope of this forum is amazing. And a little scary....
To the gentleman in Sweden, you might want to avoid naming your bike 'dingleberry' also.
:yikes:

Well, not to be too technical but between the two, I think dingleberry is the 'keeper'; thunder nugget is more of a transitory.... situation.

Dingleberries are well known to be around for the long haul where as the thunder nugget is a one and out proposition.

Ottawa, Ontario, a bit of snow but unfortunately the salt trucks are out.
That ends my season, unless there is a warm spell with rain deluge to wash the salt away.
Put the snow tires on the car.
Ah well, winter project time in the 'Great White North'.

Middle of last week, temp was 26 degrees f. going to work. I wasn't cold at all and no heated gear for me........YET. :chugbeer:
