Gen 1 to Gen 2 swap

For the sake of this thread, 86 - 93 is gen 1, 94 - 06 is gen 2.
My current Concours is a 02. The fairing stay attached to the head tube has rusted through. I purchased a '91 with the hopes of swapping all of the plastics from my 02 to the 91. Has anyone done this before?
