Try contacting the Wizard on the COG Forum.
I suspect he has one or knows where to get a used
one.

Ride safe, Ted

I don't believe you can get one any better.

The plastic one is stronger than the aluminum one. Aluminum cracks under a Connies vibrations while the plastic one will not.

That "plastic" rack has held 100lbs steel components in a GIVI case running around Brooklyn cobblestone streets just fine. I have never had one fail.

Go ahead and use it, no need to go out of your way for an aluminum plate.

Also, the aluminum plate does not bolt onto the base mount of the GIVI rack setup.

PS I had a few broken GIVI aluminum plates in the past.

As far as I know, Phil's alluminum plate has never and will never crack with a Givi trunk attached to it.  Much stronger than the plastic rack that came on my new 2010.  Just sayin.

Ditto on the Phil's rack. I bolted a back rest to one. On long trips I strap a tall tail trunk to the rack and my wife rests happily on the backrest. It has been in place for over five years.
