And speaking of RAF Upper Heyford....I found this good news.  The concrete aircraft hangers are being re-purposed.  I'd rather see that than the alternative...demolished and turned into housing or cow pastures.

I like those old piston powered monsters. Colorado Springs has a restaurant built from a KC-97. You can dine inside the airplane. And go up into the cockpit and play with the controls while you wait for your food. Er, I mean KIDS can go up into the cockpit. ;D

This reminds me of a  Will Smith interview for Independence Day.  Of his character, he said something to the effect of:
"He crashes everything he flies, and is still considered to be a great pilot!".
