Title: So, for those of you coming out for the MMP races here in Utah on Memorial Day..
Post by: Two Skies on May 12, 2011, 09:23:42 PM
This is mostly for Kawasherpa, but also for you others looking to come out for WSBK/AMA races this year here at Miller Motorsports Park, Tooele UT

Many of the mountain canyons here in Utah will NOT be cleared by Memorial Day weekend.

Fortunately, the Cottonwoods ARE clear, as is 199 (Johnson's Pass), so all is not completely lost.  The Cottonwoods may be a little busy, however...

Two Skies...thanks for the update!  It makes planning much easier for us...we are coming over US40 from Denver...was wondering about some of the good riding roads along that route...oh well, maybe next time!

This one's a bit out of the way, but if you took I-70, and are looking for a scenic road with some twisties, you could incorporate it into your trip to Tooele:

You could detour from US40 across 191 from Duchesne, but that'd easily add a couple of hours to your ride.

Members from our group ran the loop yesterday.  The road itself is cleared, with some wet spots from snow melt.

Two Skies...we rode that loop today...and I have come to the conclusion that you, sir...are a master of the art of understatement..."some twisties" indeed!

Great Ride!  Thanks for the tip!

No prob!

We'd run that route more often, but Wolf Creek and Monte Cristo are much closer for most of us, so those are our first choices, assuming they AREN'T SNOWED IN!!! We will see more snow in the higher altitudes this weekend...

Bad break with all the rain this weekend.  At least we might have some sun on Monday... poor racer types!
