Bar Risers with stock handlebars
« on: January 24, 2017, 10:52:37 AM »
I'm sure I could search a thread somewhere but I'm already typing and on my way to hopefully an answer concerning amount of rise I should consider.

Rode 2500 miles last July round-trip to NY and definitely could have used some relief on the palms. So, What is the depreciating return on risers?? 1.25, 1.5, 2?? I'm 5'9" and around 175 trying to lose 10lbs with 15 to go!

I do not want to spend money on a rise that I may not notice much relief. And, conversely I do not want too much either.

Is there an amount that most riders agree upon that they are so happy they went with??

Thanks!

I have my Heli bars set up for 2.5" rise, but I have my bars set a little bit forward/wider as well. With 50mm lower foot pegs, I can sit with my back straight while cruising and not fatigue my legs either. The only time my hands get uncomfortable is when I grip too tightly for too long (Dallas traffic). I'm a little over 6'. I know you said risers for stock handlebars, but nothing beats fully adjustable.

I think Murph still carries them.
Think they are 2"..

Most of the club members with C-10's / Risers have these.
