Michelin Road 5 Tires
« on: January 21, 2018, 01:23:30 PM »
I saw that Michelin anounced these tires back in November 2017, but just released them in the USA January 2018. I did a search, but I didn't find anything posted about them here yet. They are available in both 12/70ZR-17 and 190/50ZR-17 sizes. Just wondering everyone's opinion of them. Here is a picture and some info I found about them.

These tires will NOT be available in the GT version (necessary for heavier bikes) until 2019 from what I understand.  I may consider trying out the GT version, but I'll stick with Pirelli Angel GT's until then.

Planning to buy a set as soon as the GT version is available.  In the meantime I think I'll try a set of Angel GTs.  I've always ridden and loved Michelins but I'm not a huge fan of the PR4GT.  Hoping the Road5 brings me back into the Michelin camp.

I hope that a GT version of the Road 5 does get offered.  I will try them for sure and provide my own review.  I'm pleased with my Angel GT-A's though.  Michelin will have to step up their game.

I go through 2 sets of tires a year.  It won't take long to decide which tire I like.
