There is a 7 mile stretch of the BRP that will be closed for construction from March - May 2018. It is located 18 miles SW of Blowing Rock NC (North of Asheville NC). Here is some more info.

Yeah, hopefully they don't tar and chip it again this year. They dumped about 2"-3" deep chips on a long stretch in VA last year. Might as well have just posted signs saying we don't want motorcycles tourism dollars in this area anymore.
