Agreed. Seems like a lot of extra effort and logistics.

Makes podunk Euro countries feel special? Since they can't ride 3000 miles and still speak the same language they get the pretty green color.

It's just marketing.

Why would you think that people in different countries all prefer the same colors?

I grew up in a Dutch colony.  Every door through out the house was fire engine red.  In our living room, we had a yellow wall, blue wall green wall and a white wall.  Definately not standard "American" colors.

Why don't they just offer all the colors at all the locations?  I wouldn't mind ordering the right color.

Even when they have the same color they don't import all the same accessories.  I bought a 2011 Versys in red and had to get my handguard shells from the UK because the US only ordered black.  ::)

you're not good in geography, are you?  ;) From where I live, in a 300 miles radius 11 different languages are spoken:
1. German
2. Slovakian
3. Czech
4. Hungarian
5. Slovenian
6. Croatian
7. Bosnian
8. Italian
9. French
10. Czech
11. Luxemburgish

But we've got the fastest colour anyway... BLACK. It's so fast that everybody speaks not only one language, but one word: wow!!!

Remember that in some places like the UK and Australia, you can't even get a bike that has a color.

If you do go to other country's once there you may see their idea of nice and your idea of nice often are not the same, so the colour thing is a cultural thing also.

That green color looks like it was stolen directly from Triumph (which, I have no problem with) so I would think that if anything, that would cause an uproar in the UK...
