Hello All.

I'm from Newark, NJ and just got a ZZR1200 not too long ago.   I'm looking to set it up for some touring and know that this forum is a good place for info and ideas.

Looking forward to learning as much as I can from you all.

Thanks.

Welcome, but you do realize this is a C14/C10 forum, right?  I'm sure that there's some here that have ridden a ZZR1200, though.  In fact, I know someone personally that's done that but I don't think he's active here.

Welcome Zwords. (I'm not a long distance rider anymore, but some of these guys/gals are and can answer any questions you have.   I can see where your bike would have awesome power for long rides. Not so sure about comfort?

You'll have to start by giving us some more information about you and your bike.
Have you modified your bike in any way for long distance trips? (Bags, bars, etc?)
How about you. (Age, height, etc?)
Where are you interested in Touring?

At the minimum, I think you'll need bags, (maybe) adjust your seating position slightly, and probably add a higher windshield.

Ride safe, Ted

Speaking of Johnson City..as interesting as those bags are from the rear....

....I found the front side where they have seemingly "scooped" out leg clearance for the passenger's legs more interesting. I thought they looked like Big Gulp drink holders that were never finished.

Good rain gear, extra tools, tire patch kit, drinking water, snacks,( apples ,the crunching works better then coffee) cash, highway pegs, I use a sheepskin( others use a air hawk).
Have fun and enjoy! Camera, good quality road maps.
