I bought a 5 watt FM transmitter on eBay from China. It is great. I can walk several blocks away with my Sony radio headset and listen to it. Or work in the garage, in the yard, etc. Really love it! Very clean signal.
But I also use it in the house for watching TV when my roommate goes to bed early, so I don't have to wake her up.
It has an internal fan that is quite noisy (not in the broadcast signal, that is darn near perfect). Is there any way I can quiet it down? I am not a schematic geek, but I can follow instructions if a resister to slow the fan down, etc. would work or some other fix. No idea, I am just throwing that idea out there.
The fan doesn't seem all that important. It has never even been warm to the touch, but maybe that is because it has a fan
But I imagine if I could slow it down, to quiet it down it would still be effective.
Any ideas?
