Could this be the start of it all?

Just a couple of pics of my 6banger. Only 4500 miles on it, all original except for coils and tires

Old school standards are so cool.  In spite of everything that has been learned in bike tech in the last 30 years, it is amazing how many things are right about the old bikes.

That one is beautiful.

Sweeeeet! I remember those well. Not as sexy as the CBX but a more reliable ride.

I don't recollect any reliability problems with the CBX. :-\

Nice!  “Howz” the ride?

BTW, loved my old H2.  Nothing like that triple “wailing” IMO.

The ride to me is smoother than my connie, brakes suck though. And the sound of a 6 even with stock mufflers is great. No bodywork to hide the sound and I enjoy seeing the engine out in the open

My eldest brother had a CBX ('81, I think) and I recall him telling stories of racing the KZ1300. Everything from full stop starts to roll ons from given speeds etc.. Bottom line, the CBX had the acceleration and bottom end and the KZ1300 came on like a freight train at the top and just kept on going...

Wow, beautiful bike.

I vividly remember a turquois one setting on the showroom floor of Dale's Kawasaki in Victoria, Texas.

I was riding a Kawak Mach III at the time, and wanted the 6 banger so much.......................... :P
