Petcock?

(1/3) > >>

So Cal Joe:
I posted a few weeks back that I was going to look at a 98 Concous with 18000 miles on it.  Well I haven't got  around to looking at it yet but plan on it tomorrow or Saturday. He is asking $2500 for it. I know that I should have the petcock replaced since it is the original. He says it is in good working order but I know from what I have learned here about hydrolock that it can be bad and cause problems.. I know the ideal thing to do is have the overflow tubes installed but I don't want to or I'm not  capable of taking the carbs off to have that done. So is a new petcock the way to go is there an aftermarket one that is better?

I like the 2001. new oem petcock and other goodies. Looks well taken care of and not that much more money. Low mileage too!!  My 1994 C10 has 120,000 miles and engine still runs great!! I take good care of it. :chugbeer:

So Cal Joe:
Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it

So Cal Joe:
Well I first posted this back in April since that time I had to put my bike looking on hold, wife has had some serious medical problems. Anyway,  one of the bikes I was looking at back then is still for sale and the price is now only $2000. OK so without taking the bike apart to check for hydrolock is there any other way I can check to see if that has happened to this bike?
