Anybody have experience of carbon wrapping? a mate has had various parts of his bike done, it looks good but not sure about the process etc!

No personal experience. I think Phil of PhilsFarkels, the maker of the best c14 rack, did a carbon wrap on his gold wing. Can't find the pics. This old thread has some pics of a c14:
