Headed out to work this morning for my 80 mile ride to work. Checked the forecast and all looked good 27 degrees and rising. 35 miles later snow. Not tons of the crap, but enough to stiffen up the shoulders for a few days. 4 lane highway and you had to stay in the 2 center lanes. And forget the on-off ramps. It wouldn't have been too bad late in the morning, but I leave for work at 4:00 am.
To make the trip even more memorable. My key ring with all the good keys was in my Sears-Top-Box. I leave it there as I pack for the commute. Then I put it in the lockbox bafter I lock it up. But today I decided to forget to lock it up and left my keys ended up in a ditch somewhere between god knows where. At least I didn't lose anything important out of the box, as it was probably playing peekaboo with all the other commuters.
Maybe I'll find that the key broke off inside and will need a new top-box. And maybe a Phil's rack. Who knows.
For all of you that keep a spakling new looking bike, OMG!!!!! You would throw up if you were to see this thing. I will really need to clean this thing this year. Or change the color on the registration.
