Couple hundred going to help an elderly uncle.  Wisconsin just bumped the I roads from 65 to 70 so 80-85 on the  speedo was pretty normal today.  Was impressed how dry I stayed at 70 -75 in light showers. Made me think about that well worn rear tire....  The new shinko is sitting in the garage, maybe today, the old tire  doesn't owe me much.

Tom, well said and so true.

Gotta love those new Wisconsin speed limits. I was enjoying them the other day.

Arrived into DC late this afternoon, peak rush hour. I was in route to meet a fellow COG member.  I was going around a traffic circle and my bike quit. No power to anything. The KiPass was working, but nothing would happen when the key was turned on.  I sent a message to Matt and he promptly arrived with his truck and we loaded it up. While I was waiting for him to arrive, I checked by battery connections, all was good.
We unloaded the bike and he started checking things. After about 20 minutes, he found a plug connection under the left fairing that had loosened up. It must have been something that I had taken apart once and failed to fully clip it closed.
It sucks breaking down, but I must say, this was the best place it could have happened. Considering all the places that I have been in the past 12 days. God was watching out for me!

Not good news, but glad it went that way!

You're going to have to get your crayons out and fill in the map after this trip.

Done deal!!! I got out my big box and had a ton of fun :)

I tried to put the Canadian Provincial map alongside the States map, but I'm not quite smart enough to figure that out. So pretend that there is a Canadian map alongside, with Ontario colored purple.

All funning aside ^^^, I arrived home late afternoon yesterday. After 18 days on the road, I put 6385 miles on my bike. The tires that I left home on, with 5200 miles on them, held up great! They now have 11,600 on them.

Story and pics to follow...

Can't wait for the pics.  Wish I would have known when/where you went thru Pa.  Great roads in my neck of the woods and a hot shower if you needed it.  Glad you made it home safe.

I plugged a hole from a screw in my rear PR4 last night. Since the tire is close to the wear bars anyway, I ordered new front and rear PR4's from jakewilson.com. I just love the smell of new tires in the morning... smells like riding.

They smell pretty good in the afternoon too.    :)

I installed grab rails on my saddlebags. My passenger said her arms hurt when I ride the twisties aggressively trying to hold on to the C14's rails because they are too far back

Have you got your bags pinned? Sure hate to lose an old bag.

Put the new Shinko Verge two on the back TWICE, second time the arrow points the right way, probably a good thing the ranch is kind of isolated. My soldered in walmart TPMS battery is WAS working toes up the second day.  Went up and down snake road at Devils lake getting the edges scrubbed a bit, so far so good.

Ordered a pair of these.

I gave mine a 2 hour bath after my long trip. My bike was absolutely filthy! I'm guessing that I rode close to a thousand miles in the rain. The good thing was there weren't many bugs on it.
Now it's packed away in mothballs for 3 weeks, and im on an airplane going back to work... Bitter / sweet.
