You know that I don't use flavored vodkas...it's unprofessional.

How's about a nice crisp piece of bacon as a stir stick?  :P

I don't think she's that bad looking, Martha Stewart that is...  Raw bacon as a bathing suit, however, is quite unsettling.

So we all see these postal vehicle running around, delivering mail.... but what are they? No one else seems to have them. Who makes them?

They were made by Grumman, the same company who brought us such other marvelous vehicles as the F4 Wildcat, the F6 Hellcat (WWII piston engine fighters) the TBF Avenger, the A- 6 Intruder, the F-14 Tomcat (my personal favorite) and the Apollo Lunar Module. But by the 80's, things were slow at the old 'Iron works' (Grumman's nickname for building such tough fighters) and they needed something else to do. Jeep was discontinuing the right hand drive vehicle they had made for the USPS and so Grumman stepped in and manufactured 140,000 of these "LLV" or Long Life Vehicles. They are powered with GM in-line fours, and were built between 1987 and 1994. The original lifespan was to be 24 years (!!) but as the USPS is running so far in the red, the lifespan has been extended to 30 years (!!!). Amazing. So let's all give a round of applause to this uniquely American vehicle which has been bringing us the electric bill and various farkles (my new shaving scuttle arrived today.... via LLV!) for decades.

I hate them things.  My postal "lady" has almost hit me multiple times, I swear, each time she made eye contact with me.  Her I could use a train horn on!!!!!  I think she hates me, she has somehow broke my mailbox door 4 times, must be hooking it with the Grumann mirror >:(

Bacon is fine- Martha Stewart in a pseudo lesbian image applying bacon to mannequins?  Not so much.

When replacing a dual voltage electric motor always make sure the internal motor voltage matches your line in voltage.  :banghead:

I hate  :censored: snow and ice..  Went out this morning to dig the RAV4 out of the snow and ice and the front door was totally frozen shut.  All the other doors could be opened, just not the driver's door.  Then I couldn't find the  :censored: ice scraper and had to use one of those windshield washer squeegee thingys.  Thank goodness the snow wasn't totally frozen to the windows.  Had to crawl over the hump to get to the driver's side, start it up, and then move it over to close to the garage so that I could use my garage hair dryer on the door.  After about 30 minutes I was able to open the door.   Walked back in the garage and there was the ice scraper    .  I hate  :censored: ice and snow.
