does any one know if these tps battreies have a shelf life. just had one replaced with a 09 date on the box and worked for about an hour

Kawi says 5 years max. Why didn't you get a newer monitor?

Thats the only one they had at the time. they are going to replace it again under warranty.

See if they'll let you keep the bad one. Replace the battery and keep it for a spare.

See if they'll let you keep the bad one. Replace the battery and keep it for a spare.

This is a spare that would require the ECU to be reprogrammed in order to use. Much easier to replace the batteries in the TPMs that the system already recognises.

Would you have to reprogram? And if you did it will be cheaper than replacing the sensor out of pocket after warranty.
