I'm sure this is the battery
« on: August 24, 2015, 06:23:39 PM »
My garage queen 2002 with 14k on the clock.  I rode it about 200 miles last year & maybe 50 this year.  I'm not getting any younger & the 2002 is getting bigger & heavier every year, just like my S.O.  ;D  It's just not fun anymore.

Anyway, nice weekend last week.  I put the battery tender on it, lights go solid green.  Turn on the ignition, horn makes a feeble blip, starter clicks.  Dash lights are bright.

I put the multi meter on it; 12.2 volts, down to 11 after a few attempts to crank it over.

Time flies so the Decca sealed AGM might be 3 years or is it 6?  I can't remember, more like 6, maybe 7.  Dead & hardly used at all.

I am guessing the battery is just gone.  Since its in perfect condition otherwise, would you agree?

I'm in Philadelphia, PA.  Somebody could talk me into selling it.  No joke.  I need a 650.

Thx
JD

Thanks MOB.  Yep, the tires still hold air.  I worry that will be next.

Thx
