Murph's cruise control
« on: May 15, 2012, 09:08:09 PM »
Just had my universal cruise installed and I love it!  But I don't like how it uses the rpm to govern throttle position. Has anyone used a pick up sensor on the wheel to control the speed?  If so, what sensor did you use and where did you get it? Any pics of mounting?

The Audiovox CC's came with a magnet and pickup sensor that could be used.  (I guess the new ones don't.)  I was considering using it, but found out that the coil sensing works just fine.  My truck, with a factory CC, has a wider swing to the speed that the CC holds than the bike does.
