Title: Front caliper to rear---- bracket mod?
Post by: Boomer343 on May 23, 2011, 08:28:33 PM
I think it was Jim Snyder who first did this mod and there was a photo posted of the bracket he had to weld on.

Since I am deep into the 7th gear mod, driveshaft replacement, cush drive replacement, rotor turned, suspension bearings replaced with bushings etc etc as I thought I might as well do this mod as well.

So does anyone have a picture and measurements?

I can break out the mig and make some sparks.....

I think there was also mention that the brake line had to be stretched a little.....do I need a special DOT 4 stretcher for that or will any stretcher do?  Just trying to be funny.....

Hey Boomer,
There is a picture of the brake mod in my webshots album. If you have any questions PM me, or send me your caliper and I'll modify it.
And the stock brake line is a tad short.

Jim thanks for the link.

Took the old front calipers apart and cleaned them up. Should have enough good parts between them to make one working unit.

Will get a new line made up that is long enough.

Use the left caliper (sitting on the bike) as it works better as far as the brake line is concerned.
