Hit and miss engines were used by farmers many years ago here in the US.  I see them on A. Pickers all the time.  Never thought of that application, though.

Often referred to as Standing engines over here ..............  I like the "start" button when the crank handle falls out  and speedo replaced by a clock      :rotflmao:

Was in an antique store the other day and saw someone pick up one of those nautical compasses that stay level.  I told the guy if he didn't buy it, I wanted it.  Wanted to mount it on the Indian.  I love the Steam Punk look on anything.
