Greetings from central NC! I bought a blue 2001 concours about 2 or 3 months ago and have been using it commute to work and back 45 minutes each way as much as I can this summer. I've been riding a couple years and have had several different bikes, but am really loving this connie! I've already put about 3000 miles on it and she rides great.
I picked it up for $1400 with 27k on it. It had been dropped so the lower fairing was removed and there are some dents and dings on the tank and upper fairing, but it's a good rider and suits my needs very well as a commuter. It's gonna need fork seals soon and I'll probably do a general tune-up because it takes a second to start sometimes when cold.
It has:
-One-piece handlebars on some risers
-Front fork brace
-Corbin Seat
-Middle hard bag (Not currently installed, the two factory hardbags are already so spacious!)
-Some aftermarket switches (one has a light that comes on when the fan is running, still trying to figure out what the others do, need to chase the wires)
-A pair of plugs that look like they may be for driver and passenger intercoms (Hopefully? Still trying to figure out what they are too, I didn't recognize the plug)
-Throttle lock
-Quick disconnect pins for the gas tank
-And it had brand new tires front and rear
I'm really happy with it. The guy I bought it from hadn't had it long and wasn't sure about some of the stuff too. Sounded like the previous owner installed most of the aftermarket stuff. The guy said the owner before him had it a while and was a big concours guy who I think lived in the Nashville/Rocky Mount, NC area. It would be cool if I could connect with him if he happened to be on here to and maybe get a little history on it.
Overall I'm really pleased though, and I'm looking forward to putting many more miles on it!
