I had one for about 2 years.  the color scheme was... well, hardly inconspicuous.

1999 C-10: Knee savers, Givi trunk, Rifle windshield, KB risers, K&N...and counting...

What did I do to deserve this life?  And how do I do it again?

Looks like a cross between a PC800 and a Harley FlHXXCustomKingoftheRoad thing.  Slightly bloated. I agree with a previous poster that Honda should spend some time updating the ST1300 instead, but oh well....

Nice! I have never owned one, but I was very smitten with the Valkyrie tourer, especially in the black/red combination.

At the time they made these Valkyrie's (mine is a 97) they didn't make the 1800. But the Valkyrie 1500 was a whole other game compared to the Gold Wing 1500. 6 carbs vs 2 carbs, solid lifters vs hydraulic and the Valk is significantly lighter.

Saw one about 8 years ago in an El Paso dealership.  Thought it was cool.  Those who bought them thinking they would be instant collectables were disappointed.

No the W650 on the other hand is getting a premium when you find one for sale.  Come on Kawasaki, please bring the W800 to the states so I don't have to buy a Triumph or Guzzi.

I figured that 50 (or 48 for the GL1800GlideF6B) was a good age to take it easy and just putt around the country.  Until then I will continue to ride a bike that keeps my adrenelin pumping.

I will definitely take a test ride on of these machines, if given the chance.   ;)

I totally agree.  Oh, wait.  I bought a new 'Busa at age 54 and a ZX-10R at age 57.  Nevermind. ;)

Yep.  They are unique. They are rare.  Hard to find (I've seen one in past 4 years).  And only worth 1/2 of what they cost new. ???

There's a Rune in the CL ads locally, IIRC, the guy is asking 17K for it.  Pretty bike, but pointless for anything but showing off.  Tho Corbin made some bags for it I think.

There was a guy on the Valk site that was making his own version out of a Goldwing 1800.

Yes, looking to woo HD wannabes. Kawasaki makes the Vaquaro, not much different. Not for me. Agreed, they need to seriously spend some money and upgrade the ST1300, I have a feeling we'll see something along those lines next year.
