It is what I tell the wife I do when I leave most mornings to linger around at the paint/floorcovering store I co-own. Things are slow here.
There is a big difference between "working" and being "at work". ;) Being "at work" doesn't involve all that much "work" and then I don't have to spend time at home on the computer. I can do that "at work".

Ah yes, it's coming back to me now. Since I was an employee of the state of Illinois for 30 years I'm very familiar with the difference between "working" and being "at work".   :)

I think you may be thinking that the Festiva morphed into the Aspire, I think both were made by a little company we know as KIA. It was a smaller alternative to the Escort which was replaced by the Focus, but the ZX2 coupe was made for a few years after the Focus was introduced.

... why do stupid critters reverse their direction at the very last second and run directly in your path of travel after they have successfully made it out of harms way?

I hit a raccoon attempting to cross the highway tonight.  Luckily, I was driving my truck at the time.

Just seen a total  :censored:in idiot on a Harley.  He was all geared up and the woman on the back was in a sleeveless shirt and Daisy Duke shorts. He was driving way to fast on Sarcee Trail turned East on Bow( Calgary,Ab) going a little to wide for the corner.
Really concerned about his passenger.  :thumbdown
At least she had a helmet on.

Not sure if that's the one or not but it was very similar in that it had three wheels.

Why in the heck does one feel the need to stand up in a canoe to take their top off?  And then get mad as I paddle by laughing hysterically because they lost their balance and fell head-first out of the canoe?

Doesn't matter who you are - that's funny right there!  Now, if it was your wife, then maybe you shouldn't laugh out loud and offer to help.

Nah, wasn't my wife or I probably wouldn't be here to tell the story.  I would have felt bad for laughing if the girl actually had injured anything other than her pride.  And when she climbed back in the boat?  After 3 tries, mind you...it looked like a seal trying to heft itself up a slippery rock formation.  Not stylish at all.  We stopped for refreshments a little further along the river, and hottie paddled past, giving me the stink-eye.  So I pointed to her and said, "Look honey!  There's that girl who busted her ass in that canoe!"  I think she gave me one of those looks that kill, but it didn't take.  Hehehe, if you're not married to 'em, those kinda things just bounce off harmlessly.

That is indeed funny.  Some years back I was passing a golf course off of I70 in MD.  I happened to glance over and saw a golfer situated near a very large ditch, his golf bag perched precariously near the edge.  As I passed by it tilted and fell over into the ditch.  I nearly ran off the road laughing so hard.  BTW, I'm not a golfer.

I went for a nice long ride yesterday, perfect temps (lower 70s) and crystal clear skies. I'm heading home and pull in behind a car on a two lane road. I'm thinking about passing the car but he speeds up to 70 and I settle in behind him. I check my mirrors and see a bike some distance behind me. Hmmmm, where did he come from as I didn't see him when I pulled out. In a moment I find out why I didn't see him. I'm doing 70 as is the car in front of me when the bike passes us like we're going backwards! We're in a no passing zone on a hill but that didn't matter to the person on the bike! He/she passed so quickly that I couldn't even tell what kinda bike it was, some kinda sportbike is all I could tell. The dude must have been going at least 150 in traffic!  :o Insane!
