Plug Wires coming off...?
« on: June 25, 2012, 12:45:58 AM »
There I was just startingout on my latest business trip, new helmet on, tunes playing, at a steady 95mph on the bahn. Began to lose power, felt like fuel starvation. Pulled off, gas seemed to be flowing. Ended up that wire #4 had detached from the plug. Popped it back on, and am still oin the trip.

This happened before a couple years ago - has it ever happened to anyone else? :o

Yup, mine is usually #1 and I have stick coils. Sometimes water can get past the boots, when it turns to steam from the heat of the engine the preassure can be enough to pop off the plug wire. I'm sure there may be other causes, but that's the one that comes to mind.
