No Fire...CDI?
« on: May 13, 2011, 01:01:18 PM »
I'm not getting any fire to the plugs.  Would that be CDI issue or Coil?  How do I test those?  Just replace?

Have you done any recent work to the bike? Could you have left a wire or 2 disconnected or loose? Have you had the timing cover off for any reason?

The best and easiest way to check the igniter, the pickup coils, and the ignition coils is to replace your parts with known good parts.
If you listed your location in your profile or signature line, some one could offer to help you with known good parts. If I knew you lived not too far from me, I would offer to let you try my known good parts to see if that cured your problem.

I would start by testing issues cheaper than those at first. Bad wire?, connection?

Time to get out the multimeter.
