C-10 What's a fair going rate for saddlebags?
« on: May 11, 2011, 08:39:17 PM »
I've got a set of saddlebags that aren't in very good condition.  They don't have cracks all the way through but are faded, streaked, and scratched in some parts.

I've got a friend that might be interested in them and I would like to strike up a fair deal for him and me both.

If he's not interested in them, I'll check here first to see if someone would like them.

IDK about the bags, but I'd be willing to buy at least two of the latches from you. Especially if they're A latches. Mine are toast!

I'll figure out what I'm doing with them and post it here.

If he is your friend, I think $100 is a good deal for both of you. This would be a hassle free transaction, no packing, no shipping, no check, no PayPal fees etc.
This is my opinion of course!

Murph has a real nice setup with new brackets and Shad side bags. Well worth the money. I have seen people asking $700 for a set of stock C-10 saddlebags but I doubt anybody actually bought them at that price.

Minimum price should be $150/pair. Perfect shape - $250.00.   That's about what they pop for on E-Bay. Your's are rough enough that $100.00 would not be hideous.
