Well, it turned out to be about 6 inches (easy boys!) of the heaviest, wettest snow ever. All blown out and now waiting for the temps. to drop and turn everything into a skating rink out there. Still, not much of a big deal at all but at least the snow blower got some exercise.... and I only broke one shear bolt (less than average).

So sick of it all. I am in New Haven CT for the week. Snow everywhere. Monday and Wednesday dumps. The noreaster planned for Sunday seems to have vanished. Good news. My wife is home in Maine taking care of the snowblowwing for me. What a great woman. Lets spring in to spring already.

5* THIS A.M.
The storm dumped about 15 inches @ my house about 4 miles from the shore of Lake Erie over it's course, bringing my backyard total around 20 inches in the middle, drifting, and blowing mostly during the day yesterday.

pretty much the lake is frozen, all except about a mile off shore north of me, which feeds the lake effect snow machine..... ::)

4 inches of snow and a quarter inch of ice made it a bit interesting yesterday coming home from Logan to Cleveland. Used to all amounts of snow but ice is a game changer for me. Coming off the mountain 5 miles down an unplowed dirt road with a 100 ft drop off and no guardrail was a pucker factor of 10 even though I have snow tires on all 4 corners.  ;D

17-degrees right now, high today 26. Somebody said there might be some accumulation light today. I had about 1/8" when I left work this morning for my 100 mile trip to work. Just heard they might be closing some schools early today.

Last Friday was 80-degrees, Sunday had sleet and freezing rain. Gotta love Texas weather.

They called off school today. Not because of snow but because they couldn't get half the buses started.

Just as with the bike, you have to dress for the cold temps. Pic #'s 1, 3, & 4 were taken at minus 18. 1 & 4 are on a frozen lake. We had a GREAT time and we did over 100 miles that day.

Currently, minus 10 with a minus 20 wind chill.

It's the new english, Conrad.  Get with the program already.  You're retired.  You should have time to re-learn the language.

No, not really. I tried reading it slowly and that did seem to help some. In so doing, I see now that you said ONE f, no wind. The first time I read it as "if here no wind".    :-[
