Apologies in advance if this offends anyone on the forum, but I really do need the help!

Please would any of you help with my fundraising campaign for THE Festival,

It's a music festival of historic proportions scheduled to take place at the Assen TT race track in Assen, Holland in August 2014 which gives us unprecedented space allowing for 200,000 people per day  (with actual space for 350,000), this has been for me 3 years so far in the making and finally we are looking at it becoming a reality.

This should be the largest ever Music Festival with 7 days of music of every different genre with over 300 artists and bands. Including many famous names.

Entrance prices are being kept low, we've set a rule that vendors cannot charge more than high street prices for food and drink.

Everything about this festival is new and it is designed to be a revolution in the making, a chance to start ending the greed by leading by example, hence why it has to be the biggest straight out of the box.

We have a TV agreement in place which will see the festival aired live across the globe.

What I am asking for here is help and donations to the cause, we are in the process now of trying to raise enough capital to book the first of the major headline acts (we're talking the likes of Springsteen, AC/DC, Willie Nelson, BB King, Shakira and so...) with a scheduled 5 headliners per day of this ilk. Once we have booked the first headliner, we will start releasing tickets through Ticketmaster which will then give us the necessary funds to book the second and so on until we have the complete line-up and funding secured.

So please even a donation as small as $5 (the fundraising is through a US platform) will go a long way toward us reaching our initial target.

You are asking for money for you to go? To raise money for a cause? Raise money for COG? To get people to play? To send someone there? To keep prices low for others to go? Trying to figure out the angle here, sorry.

I am asking for donations to help fund THE festival itself, I am the founder and boss of THE Festival, it's the startup capital we need, the money raised will help us secure the first major headliner. This will then allow us to raise the further capital we need to book the other headliners and so forth.

Everything else is in place. It has been 3 years so far of very hard work to arrive at this point, this is the last part of sucessfully staging this event which is set to revolutionise the music industry, the festival industry and ultimately the world.

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that, firstly you need to get the ground, then the logistics, then the license and then the Artists, the cash comes in between the liscense and the Artists.

Because I had already tried to do this in Austria and learned very quickly that the world is divided up in regional territories (countries), with each having it's own monopolistic company in control of the music and festivals, except in Austria the government supports monopolies, so I got s**t on from a very great height, including threats of imprisonment from the chief of police!

Anyways, long story short, I got a team together (US,Canada,Ireland,Austria and Holland) and we moved the festival location to Holland, result, the Dutch Government encourages competition and so we have had nothing but help from the State, including being granted a license and being offered the Assen TT Circuit. Of course virtually everything is alrady in place from previously, so now it's all out to raise the capital.

and I am not joking for one minute when I say this is the first step in a global revolution, it affects everyone!

May be less expensive than you think, we have an offer from Virgin to supply the trans-atlantic travel. (and as 2/3rds of the bands are actually coming from the USA, it makes sense).
