Title: Lowering links
Post by: JerBear on December 13, 2011, 07:27:18 PM
what type of lowering links seem to work best the solid type or the adjustable?  How difficult is it to adjust one side to the other?  I want to lower my bike a bit but not so much that the center stand is unusable.  How have you handled the kick stand length?

I use the muzzy links.... Non-adjustable but easy install. Just did the links... Nothing for the front. Not much change at all in handling. No issues with stock side stand but the center stand is very hard to use. Since I only use the center stand for service I just roll the back wheel up on a 2x6 and deploy the center stand.

IMHO, you would do best to drop the front by the same amount to retain handling characteristics.  See threads I listed above for more info.
