Ok, here we go! We are getting ready for our trip to Oregon and I think I am going to try and post a trip report this year, as it happens.
We leave Wednesday July 24th at 6am (which means 7:13 since the girlfriend is coming to :finger_fing11: )
Here is our planned route (http://goo.gl/maps/tYCfo).
We have an overnight stay planned in Gold Beach on the 24th, an overnight stay in Cannon Beach on the 25th. We plan to stay most of the day on the 26th in Cannon Beach, so meet us there! Then home to my sister's house the night of the 26th.

On July 28th I will be at my sister's for a BBQ where I have invited you COGgers (http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=14413.0) to stop by and say hi.
Can't wait to leave! Pull up your popcorn and watch it all unfold.

She's been sitting on that bike waiting patiently for a LONG time now... ;)

She's been waiting, but not patiently.
Patience is not one of her best attributes.

DAY 1
Made it to Gold Beach. Great ride so far, with temp ranging from 57 to 91. Thought about you Gumby when we passed 36.

Either of you guys have a blank key I can have cut to use in my gas tank? I busted mine off and I find it such a hassle to fish out my fob or stove know each time I need gas or to get into my bags.
-
We had a great time in Cannon Beach, even took a stroll from town down to Haystack Rock. We left town around 4pm and headed for Happy Panda in Beaverton for dinner. The ride on 26 was great, good speed, good weather. Had a great dinner in BTown and then off to my sisters. Got there around 7:30, then we left for new seasons in their car for some beer. Had to contribute my share. Now we are up the next day and soon to leave for Saturday Market. No Beer Festival today though. See you guys tomorrow!

Nope no extra's, sorry MP. But you should be able to go to any locksmith or Ace Hardware or something to get one. :-\

What time are you guys thinking of coming?

What a visit so far. Had an amazing BBQ with nearly my entire family, even my brother showed up. Before the BBQ kicked into high gear ZG and Gumby stopped by. It was really great to meet both of them. After the BBQ was over we headed out to Sandy to see my nephews 40 acres with a farmhouse and three barns he picked up last year. It was truly amazing. I of course spotted the quad and said oh I'll be taking that to tour the property. ;D His land is amazing.
Today we are off to Columbia outlet, Mike's drive in and The Hawthorne district for some light shopping.
-
Saturday we went to Saturday Market and even waited 40 minutes in line to buy one Voodoo Donught.
Then we hooked up with the family for the beer runs.

BBQ time, holding my great niece Kate.
-
Kimberley barely set Kate down the entire day.
And no, we are not having any.
-
Cornhole time!
-
Cows on the Nephews ranch. They were amazing.
-
They were even friendly. They sniff your hand, then they shake their head side to side.
This is in Sandy, Oregon by the way.
-
Only Jerred was ok petting the Bull. All longhorns have horns by the way.
-
Cornhole time!
Glad I left before the cornholing began. That just sounds wrong. ;D
-
This is my niece on her husbands new paddle board he scored on CL.
-
The view from the spot where he wants to build his own home.
Zoning won't let him unless he builds it for a family member.

We are home safe. Got pretty lazy with posting on our way back. Glad to be back, one day early, Saturday, so we can restock the fridge and relax before going back to work.
-
Good to hear y'all made it home safe. Til we meet again.. :chugbeer:

Yes they have five airheads.
So zoning in Sandy... He purchased 40 acres which has one home on it. It cannot be subdivided so he can build another home for himself. His only option is to build a home for a family member. Then they allow it. Crazy ain't it?
